On November 14, 2024 Piedmont Regional Jail held their Annual Volunteer/Contractor Appreciation Dinner. Piedmont Regional Jail wanted to express their gratitude to those who donate their time and efforts in working with the offender population. The volunteers provide services such as skills training, behavior treatment, religious and rehabilitation services. These services are to assist the offenders in maintaining a positive attitude and how to connect with the necessary resources upon returning to their community. The Keynote Speaker was Pastor Calvin Gray of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church who encouraged the volunteers to keep inspiring others to become better individuals.
Superintendent Jerry R. Townsend and staff acknowledged the volunteers’ hard work, and support of the Program Department, that supports the jail vision and mission. Piedmont Regional Jail will continue to provide resources to aid offenders in becoming law abiding productive citizens upon returning to their communities.
