K-9 Kendy is a 3-year-old Dutch Shepherd who was born in the Czech Republic. He is certified in Tracking and Narcotics and has been assigned to work with Officer Arthur with the Piedmont Regional Jail Authority in Farmville, Virginia. Kendy is the second K-9 to work with Officer Arthur after his previous K-9, Badger, retired from service. Kendy became an official member of PRJVA in January 2025 after completing 4 months of extensive training. He is eager to work, full of energy, and is driven by a reward of treats. When he isn’t working, he enjoys playing ball in the yard and being a loving companion to his handler Officer Arthur.
