Piedmont Regional Jail has concluded a community Coat and Hoodie Drive
benefiting students in Prince Edward County Public Schools. The initiative, led by
Director of Compliance Bridgett Tisdale and Re-Entry Counselor Crystal Knight, ran
from October 27, 2025 through December 1, 2025 and collected new and gently
used winter clothing for local families.
All donated items were sorted, cleaned, and then packed up by PECPS
Superintendent Dr. Chip Jones and Letina Giles for distribution to students in
need. The project, supported by Piedmont Regional Jail Superintendent Jerry
Townsend, strengthened community partnerships while provided essential cold-
weather clothing to local students.
